rdex-server demo
rdex is an installation that explores in an autonomous hyperspace mathematical model, searching for interesting emergent behaviour (life-alike, alife). Currently under active development, here's a 5m30s demo video of the rdex-server in action:
- Ogg (hifi) (100MB)
- Ogg (lofi) (18MB)
- MP4 (lofi) (20MB)
Warning: contains bright colour patterns, be careful if you're sensitive to that kind of thing.
rdex-server provides different metrics for sorting the database of gathered interesting emergent behavious samples that are similar in some way:
- nearby
- compares input parameter space points
- colour
- compares output image colour histograms
- texture
- compares output image texture features
- segment
- compares output image contiguous regions
rdex-server source code is available under AGPL3+ license, but be warned it's still under development, and might be totally broken at times.
